Program News

The Waterville Valley Community Power Aggregation program launched in June with savings for customers in Waterville Valley. Starting August 1, residential customers with average electric use can save $20-$30 compared to NHEC supply, more savings for higher use customers. The program is open to all customers in Waterville Valley. Participants and all customers are still served by NHEC for electricity delivery and billing services. Use the links above to join/enroll/opt-in, make a change, or opt out, it’s up to you!

The Waterville Community Power program provides a new Default Supply rate and optional rates for electricity customers in Waterville Valley. Services from NH Electric Coop are not affected. NHEC will continue to deliver electricity, respond to emergencies, and bill customers, as usual. The supplier portion of your electric bill will change to reflect participation in the program. The program is open to all customers in Waterville Valley, there are no customer costs or individual contracts to participate, and no cost to the Town for providing the program.

Customers currently on NHEC default supply are eligible for automatic enrollment in the program. Customers currently on competitive supply are not eligible for automatic enrollment but are welcome to join the program. These customers should check to make sure they do not have early termination fees with their current supplier before enrolling. Solar net metering customers and GNM hosts identified by NHEC should not join the program before reviewing the Net Metering FAQ provided.

Customers eligible for automatic enrollment in the program do not need to take any action to be enrolled in the Waterville Valley Default rate on their meter read date in June. Eligible customers that want a different program rate or want to opt out of the program must take action to do so

Links for opting out, joining/enrolling/opting-in, or changing products are above. All changes to customer accounts are made on the next available meter read date. Changes to your account may take 2-3 months to be reflected in your electricity bill.

Use the ‘Contact Us’ link at right to contact the program with your questions about your electric bill, net metering, competitive supply and the program.
