Plaistow Community Power is a town-operated bulk purchasing program for electricity launched December 1, 2025, offering new stable competitive electric supply options to customers in Plaistow. Letters were mailed to every customer in Plaistow in October with program rates and terms. See sample letters and program notices at right. Public information meetings were held in the Grand Hall on Oct 29 and Nov 17. Changes to customer accounts are made on the next available meter read date and reflected on the electric bill after that. Watch here for important announcements and information about your program. Customers that participate in the program will save money on their electricity supply compared to the Unitil supply rates February 1 to July 31, 2026. See below for a program update addressing issues with January customer bills that will be fixed in February or as soon as possible.
